“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
– Romans 5:8 (ESV)
In the midst of our daily routines and challenges, it’s essential to pause and reflect on the core values that God cherishes. Today, let’s dive into the virtues of wisdom, justice, and God’s boundless love for us—values that not only guide us but also define our purpose and worth in His eyes.
Wisdom:
The Bible tells us that wisdom is a precious gift from God, a treasure more valuable than gold or silver. Proverbs 2:6 says, “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.”¹ This truth enables us to navigate life’s complexities with clarity and make choices that honor God and benefit those around us in our daily lives.
Justice:
Justice is close to God’s heart. He calls us to uphold what is right and to be advocates for those who cannot defend themselves. Micah 6:8 reminds us, “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”⁵ In doing so, we reflect God’s character and bring His light into the world.
God’s Love:
Above all, God’s love for us is unfathomable and unwavering. Romans 5:8 declares, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” This profound love is the foundation of our faith and the source of our hope. It’s a love that calls us to love others and to see ourselves as cherished children of the Most High.
As we engage in sports, coaching, or any form of ministry, let these values inspire us to live out our faith with conviction and compassion. May we seek wisdom, pursue justice, and rest in the assurance of God’s love, sharing these gifts with everyone we encounter in our daily lives.
Blessings,
