Be sure to check out Cari’s interview on the Eternity Sports podcast.
Sitting down with a professional ESPN reporter I thought it would be intimidating. Cari Champion was the opposite, she was engaging, a joy to talk with and beyond gracious. She invited our crew down to the ESPN studios in Los Angeles and of course we had to take her up on the offer.
I love my family, I love my faith, I love what I do.
Security is tight… don’t try filming inside the building, we got told more than once filming is not allowed… what do you expect, I’m rolling with the film crew! Her team placed us in a UCLA themed green room where we quickly rearranged all the furniture in record time. Don’t worry, we put it all back… they’ll never know.
Before our ESPN encounter I had met Cari on a previous occasion and she was always more than willing to hear about Eternity Sports and our mission. She was gracious in arranging the interview and humble with our team and if you listen our latest podcast, you’ll see how she lives out her faith in all she does.
Cari admits she would much rather interview someone than be interviewed and I enjoyed asking her a few tough questions. Miss Champion… YES, that’s her real name, comes from a big family, is so Los Angeles girl through and through and bleeds purple & gold.
Make sure to check out the podcast as she has some great insight into connecting her faith within her line of work. Thank you Cari… we’ll all be watching!
