Be sure to check out Jonah’s interview on the Eternity Sports podcast.
Watching young athletes is always fun. You get to see how they respond to challenges and failure, and they seem to improve each and every day. For Jonah, there wasn’t a whole lot of failure early on in his life. He’s been a Junior Golf Champion at many levels, receiving a golf scholarship to USC before he was old enough legally to drive a car.
My ultimate goal through golf is to share the gospel.
Success, family, and God were all part of Jonah’s life. Now, out of college and pursuing his dream of playing on the PGA tour, Jonah finds himself in midst of new territory. He’s come so far, yet one stroke in the game of golf can crush your spirit and desire to continue. However, after watching Jonah and following his career, it’s great to see the balance and faith he has created for himself.
Within seconds of meeting Jonah, you know he is a down-to-earth guy with a smile that lights up a room and driver that rivals Tiger Woods. He’s on the cusp of making the PGA tour and fulling a lifelong dream. This soft-spoken young man desires to use his platform for the Kingdom, and it’s easy to see that the daily grind and challenge of becoming a tour pro safely rest in Jonah’s faith in God.
