I am still in awe of the day we had with Darryl Strawberry. For three years in the 1980’s, I suited up in a Mets uniform in my Pony League Team. This was when the man I looked up to was dominating Major League Baseball. Never did I think I would actually get a chance to play catch and throw a few strikes past him. They were wiffleballs, but still, come on… that was a dream come true.

Darryl was beyond gracious and was quick to give autographs and take pictures with a few guys who were at the field that day. The stories and life Darryl lived before he met Christ you wouldn’t believe even if it was a movie. However, Darryl has been very public about his struggles and troubled times. He understands more than most the power of God to redeem and transform a broken life.

This 8x All-Star and World Series Champ has a testimony that is incredible and has been widely shared around the world. Darryl embraces it all as a chance to bring one more life to Jesus Christ. It is easy to see how this man is committed to sharing his testimony and his love for God.
