Jessica McDonald is a women’s World Cup champion and soccer star who fully embraces the job of role model. Prime example: She was kind enough to Facetime with my 12-year-old niece, who was absolutely blown away. Thanks, Jessica, you earned me some serious uncle points.

Jessica has a story you almost can’t believe. From injury to comeback and everything in between, Jessica has climbed the biggest peak in soccer, and through it all, she has grown to trust God at a deeper level. Her love for Jesus is easy to see, and if you’ve ever seen her score a goal, she’s often wearing “Jesus Paid it All” on her under shirt for the entire world to see. She brings passion and energy to everything she does, and I can’t wait for people to see what God is doing through Jessica and her game!
