Our very first interview was with Leah. We somehow picked the hottest day of the year and decided to hit softballs in the sun. She was so gracious as our team worked through some first-day hiccups. She never once complained about the heat, and all the extra time gave all of us an insight into what a wonderful heart Leah Amico-O’Brien has.
As we sat at her high school softball field, she let me try on all three of her gold medals. Yes, she has three of them and three college National Championships!!! Leah is a true winner in every sense of the word. However, it quickly becomes apparent that none of her success defines who she is.
Leah loves Jesus and truly understands the value of the gifts God gave her, and she uses them to share Jesus with people. We had such a great time getting to know the heart of what motivates this true champion. You’ll have to wait to see who won the Eternity Sports line drive challenge. Did I already say how hot it was?
