Miles McPherson

Defensive Back, San Diego Chargers – Pastor of the Rock Church

Miles and I go waaaaaaaaay back! After playing Defensive Back for the San Diego Chargers, Miles felt the call of God to become a pastor, and this is where I would first meet him. It was fun to surprise Pastor Miles with the news that he was actually my youth pastor when I was as a kid.

After I walked away from the Lord in my youth, I came back to Jesus the same month Miles launched his church in San Diego 20 years ago this year. Miles’ preaching was instrumental in my early walk with the Lord. A young athlete during the time I attended the Rock Church in San Diego, I always found it easy to relate to Miles. His truthfulness about his struggles always spoke God’s grace in my life. To interview Miles today was a full-circle moment for me. I am so pumped to have him as part of this project. You will have to wait for the release to hear more!
