Steele Johnson

Olympic Silver Medalist in Diving

I never thought I would find myself in the Indiana countryside in the middle of Fall, diving into a freezing cold pool with an Olympic Silver Medalist. I still have not defrosted from my time with Steele Johnson, but it was totally worth it.

From the day Steele and I got connected, he has been gracious and excited about this project. I love that we get to feature the sport of diving in our documentary. We had planned to hit the 10-meter platform where Steele really shines, but the COVID-19 lockdown kept us away. Next time, Steele, we are going to the 10-meter platform, and make sure the water is warm!

Steele had a great spirit, and I still can’t believe we got him to jump into that cold water. Bigger and greater than Steele’s spirit is his love for God. Through adversity, he has triumphed by submitting everything to Jesus. I can’t wait for the 2021Olympics. I’ll be watching every dive!
